had a look at it yesterday, there's an awful lot of dead in there which I've told her to remove too

Moved the huge pot my Acer had been in to the top of the garden and put extra drainage in ready for my friend to come and move the Acer which has been sitting in the wheelbarrow drying off, not the easiest of jobs thank goodness he can lift heavy things it's now in it's new place, looks very sorry for itself but some of the tiny leaves look ok, so fingers crossed I have managed to save it, only time will tell. Emptied the compost bin into the new container along with 2 bags of topsoil, it still needs possibly 3 bags of compost to finally fill it watered everything in the greenhouse then did more on the slabs getting rid of moss and weeds

is it too late to prune roses, my friend has dug up some roses from her mum's garden as it's up for sale, she's potted them up but they're top heavy as they haven't had any attention for over a year, is it ok to prune them now ? I imagine all the flowers will be lost for this year which she doesn't mind just as long as she can save the plants

Thanks, grindle for that beautiful picture of a rose like mine! 👍 I've also done a little investigation trying to identify it. I came up with the same species but being as it is from seed I doubt it will be Canary Bird as that is a hybrid, and we know hybrids don't come true from seed. I think the species is more likely there seems to be a few places that sell the seed
