They look exotic and expensive Steve, did you buy them with your left over holliday Euros? ;D Hop we don't get any more severe winters.

Were there bargains because it was the last day Steve?

Many of the show gardens and stalls sell plants off at the end of day but these were normal prices, the Acer is a small plant

Who cares what the price is, you can be too careful !
The main thing is that you work hard for your money so for goodness sake enjoy it.

If they're good plants, and you like them, go for it, and enjoy them - you could easily spend £13 on a lunch which you'll have forgotten about the next day

I like to look at it in pint value ;D costs the same as 3 or 4 pints but where they last a few hours these could last a lifetime!

I work on a similar principle but mine is down to how good is the equivalent in red wine. When you live with a none gardening partner, the red normally wins but sometimes I get lucky ;D

You got some good purchases there Steve, I liked the voodoo lily, arums & the insectivorous plants but I'm not risking anything exotic looking as everything has started to die over the last couple of winters. I managed to not buy a single thing at the show (too tight-fisted & I couldn't spend my garden centre vouchers there!), well I did get a coffee & a nice piece of lemon meringue pie in the Rhs members area! ;D There were lots of heucheras & grasses I liked the look of but I thought I could get most of them elsewhere.
