For her to recognise the difference between a weed and a plant at that age is brilliant, you are teaching her well floydie.
She does look like she is having fun.

It was probably a dandelion seedling i didn't see it as she went off to the bin with it. I don't even know most weeds .

Its lovely that Beth is enjoying gardening....get 'em interested young is what I say We have children from local schools coming to The Alnwick Garden on a regular basis...they have their own gardens, complete with scarecrows...they plant seeds and young veg plants. They weed their plots when they come, about once a month, and at the end of the year they can harvest their crops and enjoy them. They also have a fun Vegetable Show too

That's lovely Floydie, I remember pestering my dad to give me a little border to plant when I was little like that! Give Beth some seeds to push in there too, some big quick growing ones like nasturtiums or calendulas so she can watch them come up, I bet she's hooked now like her mum!

The birds eat most of the seeds sown outside . She has some sun flower seeds left so she could try a few of those .
