I like the colour of the begonia too Was the flower ball plugs Rosie, mum had some this year and they are really slow I like the colour of the poppy too It was plugs Grindle, they just seems to be dragging their roots(they don't have feet so couldn't put that ;D) It was in the polytunnel for a long while to try and bring it on a bitty.I was going to use the stand Lou but it didn't seem too stable so didn't want to chance it same problem here, couldn't get them off the ground, they were in the greenhouse but we had to put them out in the end as they were starting to rot, yours are further on, I don't think she will be growing them again, just using the tubers in future

I've always been afraid of growing Aconitums because they are supposed to be poisonous to cats. They are lovely flowers though.

Hywel I have two cats and grow lots of Aconitums. I have only seen the cats eating grass and I don't suppose yours will be much different.

My repaired computer is still playing up so I can't put any photos on. I won't risk it.

Aconitum cammarum 'Bicolor' This is gorgeous, how tall do they get to please, and are there any dwarfs ? I saw a dwarf Oenothera yesterday which looked great. Loads of things are being dwarfed now which is useful when you garden on a windy hillside and really need shorter versions.

I think my Aconitum carmichaellii are about 3ft 6ins. They grow well here in a shady but bright position, near the Hydrangea aspera Villosa. I have three of those, so I wonder if they are Villosas.

Sorry but I mean to answer the two comments Lou78 and Cherry - anyway thanks both. I thought it was the pollen like lilies' pollen is supposed to be poisonous to cats. I don't grow them either. My cat eats grass and my Chlorophytum lol Well maybe I'll try an Aconitum now then. I do like them.
