I've got one that insists on climbing inside the farm hazel trees - so I can't even see it!

Do they grow in sun and shade Rosie? The ones I saw were in deep shade. The one's at Crathes have their roots in shade but heads in the sun. i will try and find a picture of them.

It's great when you can grow something through a tree as you get two lots of flowers. I planted a Clem to grow through a Magnolia but the Magnolia has kicked the proverbial !! I'm hoping the GC will take it back......The Clem is doing well lol By the way my Magnolia 'Sunrise' has leaves albeit small ones. I recon it's going to be a while before it gets to a reasonable size.

I can't get a photo of my escapee - she's gone right inside the hazel - she was supposed to climb up my Pittosporum! Tsk, tsk. That first clem is very pretty - do you know its name please Peony? I have the other one, it's clambering up a Honeysuckle.

Oh, I really like that - so intense a colour! I think the camera may have faded it a bit, don't you? Blue does that on mine.

Oh, I really like that - so intense a colour! I think the camera may have faded it a bit, don't you? Blue does that on mine. Its a strong lavender shade Geranium. The Laburnum is in the shade so the colour stands out well. Perhaps the fact that its in the shade makes the colour more intense and the sun can't fade the flowers.
