Beautiful pics SteveN. You could have come and visited my garden (not so grand) as I live not far from there. Mind you, I wasn't there today as I went to Saltaire, near Bingley. It didn't rain there ;D

Yes, I really enjoyed it. Was pleased to have a chance to view the David Hockney's at the gallery in the mill. Finished the day at the Boat House Inn sitting outside by the river with our drinks.

Thanks SteveN a place I would like to visit. So much there but I particularly like the way it's not overdone, plenty of space around features. A like the formal pond and that hedge, reminds me of one of those dogs, the one with rolls of crumpled flesh!

Great views there SteveN. The yew hedge is simply beautiful. It is quite different but the sort of pruning which is gaining in popularity. I should think Raby gardeners have pruned it this way for many years. Some good pics for your Mum there too.

That hedge is fantastic isn't it, I wonder how long it takes to prune & what kind of scaffolding etc. it must invlove? Never been to Raby but it looks worth a visit. We love Saltaire too Cowslip & Steve, David Hockney is one of my favourite artists, they used to have a lot more of his work there years ago but I love all the books & art materials they sell too. Some nice little cafes in the village & last time we were there there was a barge on the canal selling ice cream!
