I nearly lost this Parahebe last winter. It hung on by a thread. It has now decided to flower ;D

Is that P. 'Porlock', Hywel? I've got that one, and also a white one - that looked dead, but revived and has flowered its socks off this summer. They're lovely little shrubs, aren't they.

That's a very pretty plant Hywel, good job it pulled through for you! Lou, your lilies look in better condition than mine, I did nip out & take a photo this morning, they're a bit battered & have been chewed by a slug/snail but still hanging in there. I didn't pot them up until very late this year, they were being sold off at £1.50 (for 5 bulbs) one day when I popped into J. Parkers in the summer. Stargazer lilies. These New Guinea Impatiens still look good in the windowbox despite the weather, never used them outside before but I think I will again.

Lovely, Sue. :)I think if any of us want to grow Impatiens next year, we'll be growing the New Guinea ones from what I hear.

Sue your lilies did not lose their petals in the wind. They are lovely. So are the N.G. Impatiens.
I would not have known a Parahebe Hywel. Very pretty.

Well, I'm back home having collected my laptop which is now virus-free. I can post photos again! Here's Rosa 'Rhapsody in Blue' which I just love. And the new Salvia I bought a couple of weeks ago - the rest of its name escapes me! Parahebe 'Snowclouds' Penstemon 'Mrs Eleanor Young'

Yes, they're classed as 'sub-shrubs' and they're evergreen. I just remembered the name of the Salvia - it's called 'Stampede'.

I don't know the variety sorry Geranium. The parahebe is years old and I wasn't careful with labels in those days.
I like your snowclouds, and that Rhapsody in blue is gorgeous !
Sue I like to put ivy with things aswell. Those Impatiens look nice with it. I've been puting it with bulbs.

Thanks, Grindle - I'm so pleased I can actually post photos again! Hywel, I think your Parahebe is 'Porlock' - it looks very like my plant.

Those Parahebe are lovely, I don't think I've seen them before. You must be so good at watering Sue, your windowbox is looking so healthy. I have a lot of Liriope out at the moment.
