Thanks, Wf - I've been checking and there are several more varieties - including a pink plant. I'll be after one next spring. I took cuttings of the two I have in the hope of some success, but it's a bit late for this year really.

Those Parahebe are lovely, I don't think I've seen them before. You must be so good at watering Sue, your windowbox is looking so healthy. I have a lot of Liriope out at the moment. %This has just reminded me....WF the Liriope you sent me a few year ago refuses to flower......I really must move it and hope that it flowers

They seem to be a bit pernickety, Lou. My variegated ones won't give me any flowers, but all the others have blooms on the way.

Hywel, I think your Parahebe is 'Porlock' - it looks very like my plant. Oh, Thank you ;D it's nice to know what the variety is ! I'll easily remember it because if Porlock hill lol I love it around there I am very jealous of your lirope WF ... since I moved here 7 years ago, mine has not flowered at all

The ones in deep, dry shade have not flowered yet, the ones which get a little morning sun are flowering now, the ones in my acid bed are twice the size of the others and flowering their socks off.

I had a clump in full sun, it wasn't happy, they do prefer partial shade.

I had a clump in full sun, it wasn't happy, they do prefer partial shade. They don't mind full shade either, but mine don't like to be too dry, when we had a very dry summer they didn't have many flowers.

Lovely, Lou. Yes, Liriopes are always late. It's your delphiniums that amaze me! Mine are long gone.

I'm rather pleased with them....the wind usually smashes them; this clump last flowered in early June I think
