I've seen the seeds for sale for the multicoloured carrots but have never grown anything other than the common or garden orange ones. I might buy some of the purple ones if I see them in our Tesco just to see the O.H.'s face when I serve them up! ;D

We grew solar yellow will have to try the purple next year too for the kids i was going to buy them this year but didn't get round to it.

They do taste great though, oh and the purple kind of dyes your hands when you clean them, luckily purple is my favourite colour ;D ;D

Carrots should be orange ;D I have tried the purple ones and they were fine apart from the colour ;D

This reminds me of the experiments with beetroot years ago, there has always been white beet relatives as in sugar and Mangolds etc and one type was advertised as white beetroot with the benefit that it didn't stain the tablecloth etc and was not as messy to cook, it never really took off ...the taste was exactly the same but it just didn't look right

They're very pretty. I can only eat raw carrots. I can only eat raw parsnips and raw cauliflower aswell ;D Cooked - Yach !
