I saw this too from the RHS & was interested at first as I'm a member but decided against it as I'm not 'an expert' on either, don't really have room for as many plants as they would require & the trials are going to go on for 2 or 3 years & you would be expected to attend several meetings so that put me off totally. You should apply for it Steve, with your experience of plants you'd be ideal.
