nice start to the month Cherry. You've made me wonder now what happened to my Arbutus that I planted earlier this year

Is the Arbutus unedo a Strawberry tree? Is it the one with edible fruit?

It is indeed WF.....I got one last year which the frost killed ...I'm very tempted to try it again

Is that Prunus subhirtella 'Pendula'? It looks a most attractive tree. The leaf colour is lovely, too.

To be fair to the tree WF....it had only been in its pot for a couple of weeks when the first heavy frosts came.....it didn't have a chance ....thats why I'm tempted to try one again

I might have to just lie then and tell him it is not hardy. ;D I grew some Datura from seed this year, they have just begun to flower. My pineapple sage is flowering too, it is a beautiful red.
