Far too good for the Turner prise Peony, those chestnuts need to be roasted on my fire. I have a fight with the squirrels down here for my chestnuts and the squirrels usually win.
The Datura is blackcurrant swirl. I fond of this one too Esther, not only are the flowers double but they stand upright rather than hanging down.
Pineapple sage is very easy Merlin but it is not completely hardy.

Thats a good name for that Datura........I think its the Brugmansia blooms that hang down....a good way to tell the difference between them

I've never grown Daturas - but I could easily be persuaded after seeing yours, Wf! Still some lovely pics being posted! Thanks, all. I must get my camera out.

Isn't it a C. horizontalis? I have one, inherited, totally in the wrong place, so I have to keep cutting it back. Floydie's plant is a smasher! Here's my last vine to colour up. It's a Parthenocissus thomsonii and it's near the gate, so it's a real pleasure. This Erysimum (Parish's) has been in flower for months. A bit unusual to find an Arctotis still producing flowers in November! And my Erigeron glaucus have normally finished by now, too. Clematis cirrhosa 'Freckles' is out at the right time, though.

You're all making me quite jealous with all your late colour, my excuse for not having much to show is that I've had a big move around. I do have some C. horizontalis but not in a sunny aspect. That Parthenocisus stunning.

Thanks, Merlin. As it's by the path I walk past it every day, so I can enjoy it all the more. Esther, those Cobaeas are beautiful. I grew some last year to cover 'that' fence between us and next door, but they didn't like the east wind, so they didn't even flower. I'll have to try again in a more sheltered spot.
