Wow, what a difference. I thought more berries were produced if a bad winter was on its way, perhaps this is a good sign. I think lots of berries mean there was a good pollinating season. I don't think plants can know what the weather is going to do in a few months ahead Its as simple as that ;D

What a beautiful rose Lou I don't know if the following pictures count, because they're in the house, but it is a flower in November ... It's an Aspidistra flower. They usually flower in Jan/Feb but one has flowered in November this year.

Hywel, does the flower grow up or stay like the photo? It remains on the surface of the compost. Sometimes they are half burried and I've got to clear the compost away in order to see them properly Here's a bud ...

I knew they flowered, but hadn't seen one.....very strange arn't they.....must go and have a rootle in mine Glad you all liked my rose ;D
