As I was reading through it, it was obvious to me that it opened at night because it was pollinated at night. Until the scientists have studied it, proved that that is the reason, written a paper on it which then has to be published, the reason it flowers at night will remain a mystery I wonder how much that particular piece of 'red tape' will cost?

I hope this orchid and the ones we don't yet know about will be safe. TPNG used to be a territory of Australia, but they run their own country now as part of the Commonwealth.
