I agree with Grindle, that is a lovely tree and so healthy to produce that many cones.

It does look good, love all the cones, suspect it would grow too big for here though.

I have not a clue what it is. It was planted for Christmas trees before we got here. We used to give one to the neighbours each Christmas, but they have got too big.

You'd need a long ladder to put a star on top! Do you use the cones for decorations?

I love the photo of the Hebe. I think I have the same palm here, mine managed -15 with no adverse effects at all. I have lots of crocus, snowdrops, a few anemones and the first Pulmonaria have opened.

You'd need a long ladder to put a star on top! Do you use the cones for decorations? I have picked some to put in the fireplace beside the wood burner during the summer. Steve they look lovely in the snow. Is that your lovely white Hebe? WF your Pulmonaria is early and there is a lack of snow around it. You are lucky. When I did some reorganizing of the garden, I threw out a lot of Pulmonarias and grew some on from seed.

I wanted more and looked for seed last year but didn't find any, I'll look a little harder this year. The flowers are sweet but I grow it for the foliage.
