My evergreen Daphne is flowering very well this year. Smells lovely too. Sorry, above reference was for much earlier post with peony's Hellebore pic! SteveN, the double Hellebore came from T&M's open day a few years ago, they were selling off some of their 'trial' Hellebores and I got it for £4. It didn't have a name, just a small photograph showing the flower. It starts flowering in December with slightly greenish flowers, then after they die and I cut them off, in February it flowers again, with the pink double flowers

Very strange? I suppose it must be a stress/temperature thing that causes the colour change? Looks fab anyway!

Sounds like 2-for-1 good value that hellebore Peony, looks pretty too. Steve I think I'll add that Daphne to my 'possible camellia replacement list ' too!

Its Daphne odora 'Aureomarginata' Cherry. I have four of those, one of which is D. odora 'Walburton', but none of them are as bright a pink as yours. I just love daphnes.

I wonder if the colour is slightly variable? The scent is of course adorable, particularly strong last night too even though it was drizzly and blustery.
