Has anyone been notified of a rise in allotment prices yet for this year?
Ours doubled last year and now we have another 6% rise. dont get me wrong as Im happy to pay it as over the year its really not that high.
But our allotment waiting lists are at an all time low since they doubled it last year and I can see that if there is no waiting list plots will become empty and untended

We don't do too badly here....I have a "garden and a half"....translation "big" ...£36 a year....there are 50 on the waiting list here, and when plots become available now......they are going to half them

The charges for this year are £25 (Concessionary) £30 full price, but if the rent is paid before 31st March we get a £5 discount. I shall of course be paying mine before the 31st!

Ours cost £25.00 per half plot - we have 3 half plots - still worth every penny ;D

Our new plots on camp will be free this first year (due to having to cut turf) then £24 thereafter and knowing the Military they will stay that price for ever. The plots are 15m x 5m so a decent size Oh yes - and because they are behind the wire they should remain relatively vandal-free - hopefully!!

There are laws on how much an allotment rent can rise by. its in either the 1925 or earlier legislation, it can only go up by a % each year max (forget how much think its 25%)
