I thnk it's wise as the plant is still an unknown quantity, if mine aren't big enough for cuttings I will overwinter them in the greenhouse this year

As mine are full-sized plants, it'll have to be cuttings. When would you suggest I take them?

Very advanced Lesley. That is my favourite Weigela and I am taking a cutting in flower to the plant sale today. Also, I used that one in the altar flowers for the jubilee theme. I just love it.

Weigelas are really good in a garden. I have this one, plus 'Carnaval' and 'Monet'. I planted that in the wrong place - the foliage colours aren't striking as it has too much shade where it is. Oh, and my 'Patty' is in flower too! I'm really fond of her. ;D

Your Iris is very pretty Sue, my fave flower color. I love the Sinocalycanthus and Weigela as well. Too bad I got a different climate.
