Grindle, your blue salvia is a beautiful colour and Sammy Russell is a great colour. My hemerocallis have just started flowering. Geranium, your village box is looking good, shame about the colour of the begonia, it is annoying when that happens, good job it wasn't in your garden Steve, still no sign of flowers on my 'Sparkling Burgundy' but lots of healthy looking foliage like Lou's. I'll keep looking Couldn't see any on mine a week or so ago and now they are about 4" high so there's hope

Sorry to hear that, Lou. Peony, that yellow flower looks like my Buphthalmum - I'm sure it's not a Coreopsis, the leaves are wrong. If it is, it's a great plant and flowers for ages! You're finding the same with your pots - mine are starting into flower with the sun on them. At last! Interesting that your Roscoea is doing so well in a pot - I have mine in the border (shady) and it isn't a clump like yours!

Lesley your garden is very neat. I can't keep mine like that.
Peony, I keep looking for my Roscoea, but I have lost two big ones. All my seedlings are coming up though, so I will have to start again. Now I have to work out if the terrible frost we had here killed them, or if they got shaded out when the rain brought so much on.

Thanks for the correct name Geranium, it is a good plant and like you say flowers for a long time. I've divided it over the years and have it in several places around the garden. The Roscoea has been in the same pot for about 5 years and goes in a cold greenhouse over winter as I wasn't sure it was hardy when I first bought it. In the summer its in a semi-shade position.
