I sent for these a couple of weeks ago but they're not due until May, seems like a good offer with some unusual colours, I love hellebores, it was from an ad. in the Telegraph magazine, I think the offer's still on:- Hellebore collection for £10

Tempted by those myself, I think I saw the ad in LandScape magazine.
Aldi have lots of packets of bulbs/roots in at the mo, good big packets for about £1.50 each. I bought mixed Liatris, mixed Phlox paniculata, and Triteleia (if I spelt that right... a bit agapanthus looking, not one I've tried before.) They seemed very cheap to me, so if I murder them in my rather challenging new borders, it's not so bad!

We bought a couple of tall cupressus Sempervirens 'Totem' plants yesterday when we were touring the garden centres looking for a tree, reduced from £50 each to £12.50 each! They're about 8ft tall & looked like the last 2 they had & were slightly 'wonky' in shape rather than being totally upright/straight but nice mature plants, some cones on them & good colour, might have to keep them in large containers though as the ground here might be too wet. The best thing was the sight of the 2 of us trying to cram 2 8ft tall trees in huge pots into our about 9ft long Mini in the car park! I had to sit in the back with my knees practically under my chin on the way home!

Somebody probably has got film of us on their phone grindle, I spoke to a family who were looking as they walked past & I said we might have been a bit 'over ambitious' & they were laughing.
