My son bought some Eddoes from Morrisons as they had green shoots showing -just out of curiosity we planted them in some compost and they have grown leaves

I've never heard of Eddoes, Esther - do you eat them? I like the leaves, though. A bit like Colocasia.

Correct Geranium, it is an edible variety of Colocasia esculenta, I think maybe 'antiquorum' also called Taro

Locally we call it "japanese taro" simply green eddo - boil it long enough they're sweet esther This one is chinese variety tastes bland, also used for cooking. Purple eddo
