I wish I had done Rosie, it's lightened up a bit now although it still has a slight yellow tinge. It's much warmer than that here, 15 degrees at the moment & it's been 22-23 degrees in the day & 12-13 degrees in the night since about Thursday/Friday - too hot for me!

Would you believe it it's sunshine this morning after a damp and cloudy weekend, it's really warm out there

We have had all colurs of sky/clouds here today, all very eerie. I spoke to Bridie today (Ladybird) she was battening everything down before Ophelia reached her in Belfast.

I was thinking about ladybird, ziggy & KC & all the members in Ireland & N.Ireland & wondering how they were all coping, it seemed pretty bad over there. Very windy with some terrific gusts here but no damage or anything. It's 'bin day' here today & lots of us didn't put the bins out last night because of the wind & have been running out first thing in dressing gowns - I sent O.H. out! Not seen it yet but apparently the roof has blown off the little Tesco store down the road here, will have to go to the Co-op then for the shopping!

How did everyone brave the storm yesterday ? Any damage ? To be honest we have had worse . My small greenhouse frame started to buckle though so tied it up successfully. I as rather hoping the old GH would fly away but though the frame shook and wobbled just the doors and panels came off but all was saved.... for now as I doubt if it will withstand another assault

Pleased you're still in one piece ladybird , it looked as though it was really bad in some areas over there. I went down to the shops & Tesco was still open even though part of the roof had come off - bit worried that something might fly off & hit someone though as there were loose pieces of what looked like some kind of plasterboard/cladding flapping around up there in the wind. They were waiting for it to be repaired but didn't know when & it wouldn't mean anyone would be able to get in through the roof - they usually break in through the walls there anyway - they have been broken into a few times!

All was reasonably well with us. Us in the north didn't get hit as hard as those in the south. OH homeplace old shed roof had issues but a clean up and the rest tied to the tractor soon calmed things. That was really about it. But honestly we've had worse storms than that. Thanks for thinking of us all
