seaburn I have been getting my exercise because our nights are still dipping well below freezing so the plants I put out in the greenhouse to sun themselves need to come back in every night. I will be so glad when spring arrives

Did the daily commute to the greenhouse taking numerous trays full of seedlings out for their dose of daytime daylight. Then did a repeat performance this evening bringing them back inside for overnight warmth.

it finally stayed dry long enough to clear the rubbish on a tip run, removed all the barriers from the garden borders and started dismantling the netting from the pond

Oh gosh yes that is the worry at the moment...I've set a reminder at 6pm. Our overnight temps are dropping down at the end of the week and it looks to stay that way for a week or so. Phew! So glad all yours were ok.

I only potted some holly hocks and will do the same with a hoard of snapdragons later. I have 56 soil blocks that are chocker with the snaps. There are also coleus that are outgrowing their blocks. I've sown my sensitive plant seeds but only did 4 blocks of those. It is snowed and will be below freezing for the rest of the day so it is not a good time for outdoor puttering.

canadianlori I've sown some Coleus this year, haven't done so for the last couple of years, not sure why as I really like them.

Got out and finished digging out the jasmine that had been allowed to sprawl down a narrow strip by the shed. I had to lift and replant lots of snowdrops and a huge Cyclamen corm [8" diam]. Then added some more plants. A variegated Pachysandra, 3 pots of Eranthis cilicica, Lily of the valley and a couple of pots of Puschkinia. I placed bricks to form a boundary to stop soil piling against the shed. Cleared soil and leaf debris off the paving slabs. I do ache a bit now.

Planted out 3 echinacea bare roots, put my autumn sown sweet pea seedlings out into the greenhouse & put up a new birdhouse on the side of the garage - it's decorative rather than practical though.

not much again, managed some time in the greenhouse, potted a new dahlia, sorted through the pots to see what's growing or needed watering

Decided to sow some seeds today in the windowsill propagator, 3 varieties of tomato, mini cucumbers, calendula, rudbeckia & Malope - at least I've made a start now! 😊

did some more cutting back of ferns, tied in a clematis, cut the old stems of the bamboo that had flowered, I was doing to dig it out but new shoots are starting to appear, so gave it a feed and fingers crossed. Mulched both small borders with bark, so nice to be outside

Nothing yesterday as I was out for most of the day but today I've designated for garden tasks as the list of ' To do' jobs is rapidly growing.
