spent 6 hrs weeding a border, hard work as lots of creeping sow thistle has grown and it has a very brittle rhizome [like bindweed]. Managed to cut down the dead stems of many plants too. brown bin is full again. I also pricked out/ potted on tomato seedlings into individual pots.

Checked for yet ore rodent damage, blinking rat. Poison is now down again.
Also noticed my 25yr old buddleia has rotted away and collapsed in the breeze today. I have taken cuttings in the hope they will root.

Other than checking to make sure my plants won't get blown over by moving a few further in, I've done nothing on the balcony today either.

Nothing other than checking on the seedlings in the greenhouse, watching the hedgehog which has arrived back visiting at about 10-45pm at night & the 2 blackbirds who have been test building 2 nests on the top shelf in the log store on the patio. 😊

Dodged showers to do some more compost spreading. One bed left to do and that is it. Leaves me enough to use when the tree stump is ground out. It means I have room to turn over the new compost into the empty space. Nice big job that it too.

Also been dodging showers [very heavy too] to organise trays of plants as I am having a plant sale from the driveway tomorrow. Hope people turn up and buy as I have over 300 plants growing on the back path. That is a lot of name labels. Proceeds will go to the local hospice.

At last I managed to get around to sowing some mini tomato seeds, sent to me by a lady on another gardening forum, on Thursday this week! That's a week later than I traditionally sow tomato seeds which is 21st March - most years.

I did 2 hrs before the plant sale and bits between customers, sold 40+ plants and took £129. Then another 2hrs after wards. Brown bin 1/3 full of creeping sow thistle rhizomes. Planted a few pots of daffs and hyacinths too.

Moved all our overwintering Geraniums out from their Winer home ( coldframes) for a day out in the sunshine yesterday. Reorganised the greenhouse to accommodate all the seedlings ( so far ) day and night now. Have room for more seed sowing now

Nothing outside so far today, but yesterday I cut, raked, scarified and overseeded the lawn, so waiting for the rain now to water it in.

Half the compost heap moved over, but had to stop as the pain was beginning to kick in.

sorry pain is getting in the way GG.
I too have sown grass seed today as well as sorting plants out for the members table at our local HPS meeting on Thursday. Also labelled up other plants for a Rare plant Fair we are attending next Sunday. Elleker House, Everingham, East Yorks should any of you be in the vicinity.
