repotted what was left of the lilies, I'd forgotten to put them under cover for the winter and some had rotted with all the wet, took down the hosta hanging baskets just in case, then went to a friend's to get a load of logs for my shade border

did spend an hour in the greenhouse sowing some seeds, moved the sweetpeas out of the heated propagator as most of them had germinated and put the new ones in

Still rather hot and no rain yet.
I fed the Dahlias and spread a large rubbish bin of leaves for more mulch around them, then hosed it all in.

grindle how boring! I went to a charity coffee morning and then yoga in the afternoon. It was hard to look at all my pots with two daphnes in flower in this horrible freezing wind. Actually grindle, the coffee morning was probably more boring.

I managed to prune the rest of the roses yesterday although I'll probably come across one I've missed somewhere. I've pruned mine Rosie because you're supposed to do it in winter when the roses are dormant & mine never really are nowadays, they always have leaves & buds or flowers on them but at the moment they look a bit quiet with new leaf buds just coming through so I've taken the chance to tidy them up a bit. I was brave SueA and pruned most of the roses back. Still got a couple to do but it certainly won't be today!! Its baltic out there!!

Its a lovely sunny day finally.
I cut out all the damaged/eaten tomato leaves and picked over 70 tomatoes reason for so many they could not be seen in all the growth. Now its more open for a better new growth. I gave the two plants a good feed and a Wetter Soil then a good watering.
Prepared the area ready to plant the Gravellia Robyn Gordon tomorrow weather permitting.

All the high winds have left me with loads of long leaves from the two cordylines scattered all over the place so spent some time collecting them. Also managed to get to the tip today with a trailer load so now started filling it up again. Plenty of brambles and Buddleia to go. Actually got some sun today so the cats were chasing around with the wind in their tails.

Planted the plants I bought a few days ago. I noticed after trimming the two Tomato plants yesterday I can see many more ripening easier now.

Keith It does seem strange keith reading about your tomato plants when I haven't even opened the seed packets yet. Keep forgetting you are on the other side of the planet.

Very little unless you like working in a thunder storm. Its doing a good watering job at the moment. Before the storm I picked over 80 Roma's and a few small Cherry Tomatoes.
