Had an enjoyable afternoon in the garden yesterday, tidied up three borders and the patio raised beds...so many bulbs are emerging now....exciting times!!! Trimmed up a few tatty leaves from some of the Helleborus too.

did a bit more tidying at the top of the garden, a small bed is being taken over with woodruff, so I've decided to take it all out, made a start and potted up some of the plants I wanted to keep

Planted, fed and, watered the three Carnations I bought the other day.
I dug out a few weeds and some couch ready to give it a very strong spraying tomorrow morning.
I hosed with a strong fine cone the Tomatoes looking for the "White Fly" they were there in their hundreds. If I do that several times a day this might remove them.

I carried on with the weeding in the back garden, did one long border & part of the other & the veg. bed, still got to do the rest of the border & around the pond & the end of the garden but the wrist I broke last year was aching a bit last night after all the trowelling & pulling so I'll have to do it a bit at a time.

A large Buddleia branch was in contact with top of G'house so had to remove it today before the wind really picked up.Managed to secure most of the power cable to the fence but still got some more to do.

Other than pick a few Cherry tomatoes and sweep up plenty of leaves nothing. Instead I cut down a very old dead plumb tree for a good friend who lives opposite. The trunk and a few thicker branches are all cut up ready to go on the fire in the up and coming cold winter's days for another friend.
