Very pretty clematis Geranium, hopefully you'll get more blooms on it soon!

I'm going to grow this Acer palmatum atropurpureum in an arch over the path so when i'm gardening in summer I can shelter from the rain under it

That will look really good Steve. It must be very sheltered where you are. Mine (in pots) are not put out yet because it is still windy and we are very exposed here.

Steve, what a great idea about an arch. Thank you all for your nice comments - I suppose the Clematis might produce another flower later, as it's supposed to flower twice, Sue. Thanks, Lou - I'm disappointed that my Geranium x magnificum bed won't be its usual self - nor are my roses out on the house or stream bank, but there are other flowers out to compensate, so there's plenty to see. John Coutts is looking great, Peony - it's normally earlier than this. Yours won't be too long. This is part of the geranium bed last year. It's only got two flowers out at the moment, although there are masses of buds. I hope they might open for next week, though.

My 'Nelly' decided to open two flowers yesterday, SueA. It's about time, isn't it! Is that Lewisia in one of your metal pots? It's a pretty one.

I tried to post a photo of the Westringia, but it's vanished. I'll try again. I can only do a close-up so you can see how pretty the flowers are. The leaves have no scent, Cherry.

I really like that and it appears to be tough. I read that it is best kept in its natural bun shape.

That looks good Geranium, you'd imagine the leaves would have a scent, they look a bit like rosemary don't they.
