You have done well Tel. My Meconopsis betonificifolia are in a mess because the winter savaged them. Some are good and others are too small to flower. That Hemerocallis 'Stella D'Oro' is great because it is scented and is never a problem in the winter. It always comes up smiling. One of the best. Look at your lovely Acer. I still can't put mine out because we are so exposed. It is at the side of the house.

I know they only flower once, but Geranium x magnificum make a lovely splash of colour. I'm really pleased because I saved my Codonopsis from snails this year - and it's just starting to flower. Sorry I can't post any photos - tinypic won't play ball this morning.

My Geranium 'Mayflower' is finishing Geranium. Is this best cut down now? Will it not flower again this year?

I'm thinking of trying monkshood sweetpea as they're blue & I suspect the slugs & snails would leave them alone! I have one tiny meconopsis plant Tel , the other has been eaten down to a stump by slugs/snails, I think maybe that's why I've never had any success with them in the past. Your vase of flowers looks great Cherry , you certainly managed to fit more than 'one or two' in there!

These are fantastic shrubs and flowers Geranium. The Kalmia is gorgeous. The Salvia 'Armistad' is rather special. I have grown S. patens 'Cambridge Blue', which is hard to keep over the winter, and this looks similar.

I usually save seeds from anything in the garden and the monkshood are quite prolific seeders. Sorry I don't know which variety it is but they are a lovely plant

Its no good geranium, I will have to consult the handbook on how to take pictures like yours. Too many bells and whistles on these modern cameras for me to take in and inwardly digest.
