At a dinner I went to this week, the tables were decorated with those small chillie plants with loads of upright small red chillies. They look really pretty and were given out at the end of the evening. Then there was an announcement that these chillies are not edible? Is this true? I thought they were edible.

As far as I know no chilli's are poisonous Cherry, but it may well be to do with what they have been sprayed with to keep them in perfect condition for an event like that?

I think you must be right steve. I was using them from a rogue bush in Queensland, but this was not sprayed. I expect as they are grown for the flower trade they could be sprayed with anything really.
