My husband asked me if the climber on the front of the house was supposed to be in flower at this time of year! Well, yes it is - but it has never had so many flowers on it! My other two Clem cirrhosas are also doing bloomin' well. This is the high up part of 'Lansdowne Gem'.

That looks as if it is high summer Geranium. Amazing! I hope all those buds come out. If they do, you could treat us to another picture.

Thanks - it must be a good year for C. cirrhosa - my friend has 'Freckles' and this is the first year it's flowered - masses of blooms! My cirrhosas are a great joy to me.

I'd like a C. cirrhosa but I want to be able to see it. I'd have to put it in a pot for it to be by the door. I wonder if it would like being in a pot ? Does anyone know ?

I think it was 'Freckles' I had and if it was, I could not imagine it in a pot @hywel. It grew into the Leylandi next door and nearly to the top. I hated it, probably because I hated the Leylandi, which really did ruin my pond and block my light. I was glad to leave there.

Thank you Cherry It seems Freckles grows big then. Maybe it won't get so big with it's roots restricted in a pot, I wonder. I may try it and see. If it can't be controlled, I'll plant it down by the garage, and I'll have to see it when I go down there.

The seed heads are so attractive - and birds like them, too. I agree with Cherry - the cirrhosas are too vigorous for pots, if they like your garden.

Geranium, Are yours in sun or shade ? I'm wondering if I could put one by my front door. It faces east and gets the morning sun up until mid day.

They like some sun, and Lansdowne Gem faces east,@hywel. Sounds hopeful!
