We went to Fryers roses today & I spent my Christmas vouchers, I put them towards a pair of ornamental gates & my O.H. paid the rest so he's earned his Brownie points this week! We'd seen them before Christmas, they had them indoors with all the Christmas displays around them & today they were reduced a lot in the sale. They're 'vintage' style wrought iron look, painted a sort of light grey/blue colour with about 5ft 5 tall finial topped posts & I'm going to put them towards the end of the garden eventually to break it up a bit. We got a voucher for a free bare root rose as well at the till, valid from 10-24th Jan. so I will be going back for that!

They'll probably spend some time in the garage until I've sorted the garden out a bit more & decided where exactly to put them but I didn't want to miss them in the sale. I tried the infrared camera again last night but I don't think anything is coming at night at the moment, I went out in the dark to check if it was actually working & got a few misty grey shots of my boots! Not sure if you'll be able to make this out but there's my right boot & my left leg bent as I knelt to look at the camera,it looks a bit like I've had an x-ray, it was very frosty & I think the lens is misted up - hope I get better pictures later in the spring!

I can see a foot it will be great to see what is visiting at night. This year mostly not garden related, I had money for a new seat to replace my old one as it's rotting and can't be saved, but I won't start looking until next month. I also got vouchers and a new bee house which will need to be put up
