I planted up this very large metal bowl last Thursday/Friday that had previous use a few years ago in a shop display and was just rusting away outside off shop floor. I've still a couple of small plants to add but that is as far as I'm concerned it. I wanted to keep it simple and "Zen-like" with the vertical slate rocks and slate mulch. The store manager however has apparently said he wants it full of plants. He can bloomin do it himself if he wants that because I'm not doing it >

The slate mulch will look darker and greenish when all the dust has washed off it. Looks very light at the mo. I inted to just add some sempervivums clustered around a couple more rocks and thats about it.

I love it Fractal, I bet the manager is just thinking 'more plants, more sales' but left as it is it could inspire people to plant up rock gardens, Japanese style gardens or alpine gardens so lots of sales anyway!

Steve, that is the type of thing I would have done. The advantage I have though is I WAS the manager. If you want revenge, just add a couple of gnomes. It looks superb, by the way.

It looks great as it is I think, although it really maybe would look better with a couple of very contemplative Zen gnomes?
