Beautiful displays Lou78W and the auricula theatre looks rather dramatic, yet very plain. It really does show these little beauties off well.

I've decided against a "theatre"....my garden is far too windy. I have 2 terracotta pots with wide tops with alpines in.....they are overdue for being re-vamped....might use them and if the weather is really bad during flowering, they are easily lifted to a sheltered area...

That sounds good. I have always dismissed auriculas as second class in the primula world, but good ones are really pretty. I expect you would grow them well Lou. I am changing my mind.

I always love the cacti displays at the shows & I love auricula theatres, I once had a 'mini theatre', it was a winebox I painted & hung on the fence - just big enough for 1 plant!

the Auriculas are pretty, I like the idea of putting them in large pots

I spotted 'Princess Irene' in the tulip displays, Lou78W - she is one I shall grow again. Glad you enjoyed the show.

That looks like it was a good show Lou78W. Thanks for showing us the pictures, I love the Auriculas too, I'm having 2 of them in my family bed, Margaret and Peggy. Love the spring flowers too

Thanks for showing the cacti. I love them. I wish mine would flower all at the same time like that, instead on in dribs and drabs. They are very colourful aren't they ...
I love the Auriculas too. I've got quite a few varieties. They haven't flowered this year yet.
It looks like it was a good show, and you seem to have enjoyed it

Those last two photos are how I would like my front garden to look - in my dreams!

Your show would only last a couple of weeks in that case SueA. You could do better than that. It does look good though.

I know Cherry , I love spring flowers though & whenever I've gone to Harrogate I'm always seduced by those kind of displays & the alpine ones too. I like to plant in layers so that I get a continuous display all year round - that's the plan anyway!
