Has anyone used the Claire Austin website to purchase plants? I was thinking of buying some plants especially the wonderful Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Blackfield'.

I would think her site would be OK because she is a plant breeder I think. I like Beth Chatto and I have seen her setup.

Thanks everyone. I may still go with Claire Austin though I think if I remember when I last looked, Beth Chatto also does P. a. 'Blackfield'. I'll have another look. Thanks folks.

I've never used CA's website myself but she's got a big online 'presence' - I think she'd be fine to buy from. You'd definitely get your money back if necessary! I've seen her reviewed in a couple of big magazines (inc Country Living not that long ago) and I'd have no qualms using her website.
I love some of her stuff (especially her ceramic pots) but I am still at the Ebay-Wilko end of the plant buying spectrum most the time, sadly!!

I buy most of my plants online. Paddocks, ashwoods, woottens, and loads more. Steve, I bought a couple of persicarias a few weeks back....Orange field and polymorpha. ,already grow Red Dragon as a foliage plant. My persicarias were purchased from Knoll Gardens....took advantage of their late summer sale.
