I have difficulty pronouncing some plant names and with a Geordie accent some sound ridiculous ;D Anyhoo. How do you pronounce Strawberry 'Honeoye' Is it like 'honey oi' Anyone else have difficulty saying some plant names?

I'm still struggling with reading them , accent or not, the names I arrive at are much prettier than their real names. How can a flower which is so pretty be named Scabious, I think Scabatious sounds so much better.

I never know how to pronounce 'Clematis' is it clematis or clematis....Campanula is another one....
and does it really matter? ;D

All this reminds me of my Nana who came from Sunderland Taties, Munda,Tuesda etc. bairns etc. ;D

;D mine came from Durham Esther, I love the geordie accent I never know if I'm calling a plant by it's right name, and if you listen to the experts, they don't all say the same either
