To go to our local tip which has been closed since the lockdown you have to book a slot online and can't take trailer. Everything has to go by car so this was me last Friday, the car fully loaded and bag on top. Also you can't go back again for 4 weeks. Oh boy.

You're lucky you got under the height restriction barrier sweetpea with that lot on top! We've not had to go to the tip as we've had our green waste bins collected as usual but the tips have opened again in the last few weeks & around here you have to take proof of ID & address (to prove you're a local), only one person allowed out of the car, no trailers & go on a day depending on your number plate, odd numbers on certain days & even on others - it's like trying to get into the Bank of England!

Too much bother ! I'm waiting until things get a bit better, by which time I'll have to make a few trips

Just a thought if you go to the tip around Christmas time should you give them a tip when they already have a tip? I think lockdown is affecting me

our green waste has been collected all through lockdown, I have no intention of going to our tip at the moment Too much here to bag up. I shred as much as poss and store the shreddings, likewise the grass cuttings are kept in a heap at the end of the 'Wild' part of the garden. Most of the softer plant material goes in the compost bin and not the tip. Also quite a few bags with cat litter which goes to tip.
