It wasn't the dreaded vine weevil was it? Thank you for your kind comments...I had the choice of two red-blossomed trees when I bought it, and the Nursery man persuaded me that this one was prettier - I'm glad he did! Merlin, yes indeedy!

Teucrium fruticans 'Azureum' (now planted) I want it partly to hide this horrible water pipe. Sinocalycanthus buds are getting bigger. Even though it's starting to open, it will continue to enlarge.

I love it more every time you show it to us! That Teucrium is a much deeper colour than the one I had. Lovely.

The Sinocalycanthus sure is a pretty flower. It looks artificial. Yes, the poppies may be common, but they are lovely and I allow quite a few to grow here.

I have a love/hate relationship going on with those poppies. They are so pretty but always self seed where I would rather they didn't. I have scattered thousands of seeds where they can grow to their hearts content but will the germinate there

Merlin, yes indeedy! no definately wasn't that, the only thing I can think is the slugs or snails have had a go at the main stem, it is as you say not likely to be wilt. I'm just going to have to dig it out again and pot it up and hope for the best

all looking great I really like the Teucrium and the Sinocalycanthus. Those yellow poppies grow like weeds here, but they are very pretty
