Lovely - the Amelanchier is on my wish-list! I want to plant one instead of the (very) poorly Hebe. That'll have to wait until after June, though. The Hebe is huge! Those tulips are a lovely shape - are they lily-flowered? I think I could do without the gorse though! lol.

You can't go wrong with an Amalanchier, more interesting than a Hebe. Are they Scottish Bluebells

First, I must tell Geranium that a well grown gorse is a sight to behold and one to be remembered always. I can't choose a favourite because they are great pics and it is lovely to see your garden coming on Rosie. SteveN I never thought of Kalmia in this way. Lesley the Aquilegias are lovely. I have a super single tall white one which came in a pot of something else I bought from a nursery which was closing down. I love it.

Well - let's put it this way, Cherry - I like to see gorse, ling, heather, harebells, knapweed and so on up on the moors, and they look amazing - but I wouldn't want them in my garden - they would look 'out of place' in my planting. It's a personal thing, I realise! Lucky we're all different, isn't it.
