I've said before about planting house plants in the conservatory and how they turn into Triffids. Here is quite an amazing example. I germinated the Castor Oil plant (Ricinus communis) seeds sent to me by Bists, they all germinated at the same time. Plant No.1 was planted in the conservatory a couple of weeks ago, plant No.2 was grown on in a pot, it wasn't pot bound or neglected. The difference is staggering.

I think I'll try planting one out after seeing yours, Wf. By the way, what a lovely display!

They will never forgive not moving on asap. As soon as they become even slightly root bound, they will not make up the difference.

Mixing that watering gel stuff in the soil has improved it, my ferns are loving it.
