Steve, how big do the fruit have to get before picking? There are now lots of them this size! I will keep several pods from each plant to save seed and send back to you as I believe yours didn't take?

That's right I sent you the viable seed and kept the chaff for myself ;D thanks for saving some for me, they don't get much bigger than that I remember most about thumb size, I think after that they get a bit bigger but hollower so ok in stir fry's or salads etc like bell peppers

Well, I've recently been giving fruit away to staff at work to try from this Achocha (Peruvian Cucumber) and thought I had better keep some back for myself!!! Still loads left though the plants have stopped producing new ones. Of the three plants that grew (very quickly), I would say they have produced about 180-200 fruits which is quite a good return. I work colleague was doing a "picky tea" last night and was going to try stuffing and baking them with cheese topping. Just awaiting his verdict. Lou, seeds aplenty when you want some! Like little pieces of charcoal...

Oooh Ta Steve Should be in sometime next week....I was in today, briefly, to get a new heater for the greenhouse....the bearings went on the fan of the old one.....which was only about a year old
