Picking tomatoes or rather eating tomatoes from the greenhouse. (Might leave a salt seller in there ) Also trying to keep on top of the weeds. I have been doing more construction work, making a few more new beds but that is taking a back seat as I`m working on my other obsession atm of collection Kenwood mixers ( I think I need help )

Do you have a pond Cherry or is there one nearby? I used to get frogs hopping about every year my back garden in my last house, probably because there was a stream about 10 mins walk away so I imagine it will find a mate if there is water nearby you. I have a tiny pond now and no frogs at all .

My latest technique to try was Folded star that uses Prairie Points. This is 8"x8" and is a table centre/heat proof mat. Really enjoyed doing this so will make some more, possibly in Christmas fabrics. Really nice seaburn , so many little pieces it must have taken ages .

This is my latest 'craft' project, a little crochet top I've made from a lantern crochet motif which someone showed me online. I've made it up as I've gone along & might add some sort of edging as well, not decided yet but I've enjoyed using up all the little odd balls of wool I've had for years. Beautiful SueA . I joined a crochet class a few months ago but it fell through . i got a s far a learning one stitch. My daughter is very good at it , she makes lovely toys, scarves and jumpers.

Received the edited ms. of the next book. Needs proof reading. Difficult as you read what ought to be there instead of what is actually there if you are not very careful. geumgrower,It never ceased to amaze me how you can read something over and over for typos and still miss an error. I printed some A6 booklets for a wee group I`m in and last week I had to "recall" they all to replace the center pages . I couldn`t believe it this week when I found several extra repeated lines on a page this week and had to reprint them again.

I should be concentrating on getting all the plants our of the greenhouse and into the ground but the DIY bug has got me again I added a cold frame to the end of one of the beds over the weekend which I`m very pleased with, the end of the bed is the back wall of the frame. Today I made a removable arch between two beds for the courgettes to climb up. Just have to think of something easily removable, cheap, strong, to cover it with now. The "arches" are the same pieces I will use lower down on the beds covered with plastic in the spring. although they dont look it the archers are all the same height.
