I've emptied out the dahlia seedling bed and kept a few favourite tubers to grow on next year. I needed the space to use as a nursery bed for a heap of perennials to grow on, for next year. Its a shame I've had to do this job now as the whole garden is looking very colourful and lush...but needs must I've cut back a lovely rose in that bed....ready for transplanting elsewhere in the garden....

That is early for your garden bags to stop dianthus. Ours finish mid November, and some areas do it all year round...
