Just had a heavy downpour, which delighted me, because I needed to water my lawn. Sun is out again.

I hope there is some rain tonight, so I don't have to sprinkle my lawn.

Have been hobbling around, going to the hairdressers. I have some foxgloves that I bought at the Bloom Festival, that I need to plant in my woodland bed under my copper beech tree.

18°C | 64.4°F. Sounds a little cooler, as we have onshore breezes from the East that cool us down, but still a lovely sunny day! Inland, I believe it's around 23°C.

Either crows or magpies, I'd say, were the "murderers". I have both in my garden, and I would not put it past them. There are very large trees outside my house and at four or five in the morning, I can be woken up by the most blood-curdling screeches, that could be dog, fox or any other kind of animal. As I listen for a bit, I realize they are my feathered friends in the trees.

Nothing today, as I was with my consultant. Have learned that I am now faced with having knee replacement surgery. The news has been upsetting to me as I was really left with no other choice. Have been having a lot of pain in recent days, so now I just want it to be over with. Not a nice thing to find out whisker but I bet you will feel 100% better after, it seems quite a few members on here have had knee surgery/replacements so I'm sure they will be here to support you. Hope you get a quick appointment & everything goes well. Many thanks, SueA!

I haven't bothered with Windows 10 there were so many bad things said about it I've nothing bad to say about Windows 10, if it's any consolation. Maybe I was lucky to be buying a new computer at the time it launched and got some (optional) tuition from Curry's where I bought the comp. That probably set me up fairly well for a start. Upgrading was trouble free.
