esther, they are just.... FABULOUS. I am VERY envious. Not only are the greenhouses wonderful (I'd never even THOUGHT of having hanging baskets in a greenhouse before), but you garden is superbly laid out, with all those neat (and easily accessible) planting beds. If I ever had to move out of my Roofgarden, and down to ground level, then THAT is the sort of layout that I would aspire to. I just LOVE the idea of having THREE greenhouses; one for cuttings, one for decorative flowers, and one for vegetables. It must be a full-time job just watering all that lot during summer ! I bet Roofy has just fainted in admiration if he's seen those esther. ...... Not far off the truth there SueA. You've won prizes for the greenhouse displays esther ? Do tell us more. Started with just one greenhouse ,then bought a secondhand one (summer veggie greenhouse). I noticed a competition in Garden Answers - all you had to do was send a photo of your greenhouse.Well - I thought my veggie greenhouse looked really good so I sent off a photo and was amazed when I won!! The prize was a greenhouse This is my cuttings/summer pot plant greenhouse. When my Auntie died I inherited her greenhouse.Hence 3 greenhouses I have always been enthusiastic about my greenhouses and over the years won the Greenhouse Gardener of the Year 3 times when the competitions were in the Garden News. I have also done a tomato trial for Garden Answers when I grew about 35 varieties and also trialled Petunias for Mr. Fothergills .It sounds like I am showing off - well I suppose I am but I do really enjoy my greenhouses and get a lot of pleasure with all I do in them

I was inspired by your photo of your bowl of tomatoes esther! Were some of yours beefsteaks, I bought a small plant which was labelled beefsteak but the fruits don't look very big or beefy yet & are still green, may have been mislabelled but I think it only cost me 50p so can't complain! Yes Sue - Gigantomo,Ananas and Brutus are the beefsteaks and also Costoluto fiorentino which is a big ribbed tomato
