Oh, so that's why Alan Shearer was there! I watched the News but it missed out the most important news of the week - month - year! Our Lou curtseying to the Queen! ;D What does that wall plaque say? It will say, it was here that Lou curtsied to the Queen, and she did hear her knee's creaking ;D ;D

tee.hee.....wor Rosie..what a hoot!!.....Can't remember quite what it said, as its in sandstone it will be difficult to photograph but I will try and get a pic. I'm asking round to see if anyone took a pic of me "doing my bit"...but doubt it....second best is a pic of one of the other's in the line up (she's a friend of the local Gazette photographer ) talking to HM, with me in the background....think I was talking to Prince Philip at the time, or about to talk to him. Alas, it wasn't from my best side ;D

I didn't see anything on the news but did see a photo in the paper, just the Queen, Phil, Duchess & Alan! The queen had another lovely hat on, she's had some very fashionable hats on recently hasn't she.

It's not in the West Somerset Free Press, either. P.S. It isn't free - it costs 45p!

Thats a shame....you obviously don't get "the right" papers..lol Was it in the Evening Chronicle?? Dunno Rosie....it was in the Journal. I've just been collecting the special supplements together to keep. We all have a special "goodie bag" (which the volunteers put together the previous weekend....bloomin' well 5,700 of 'em )....in the goodie bag is a Certificate to say we attended. A nice colour supplement about The Castle and The Garden, with a short message from The Queen. Some glossy magazines; A Ringtons Tea goodie bag with tea and biccies....some nice postcards of The Garden. The best bits were a FREE ticket for 2 adults and 2 children for entry into The Castle and The Garden....and a lovely brooch/pin of the Union Flag and the Northumberland Flag. I wore it to a drinks reception with The Duchess of Northumberland last night, which included a tour round the State Rooms at The Castle ;D I've got a couple of pics with me and HM on....and I am just waiting for a one with us shaking hands ;D ;D
