Some of you may have seen on the news that Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal,Highness Prince Philip visited Alnwick, Northumberland Today ;D ;D We were having a Garden Party for Carers and Volunteers in Northumberland....and after a bit of a dodgy spell in the morning when it poured with rain........it cleared up and the sun shon for our very special Visitors ;D I was honoured and priviledged to be chosen to meet and talk to Her Majesty and Prince Philip.......It was a wonderful experience and I am still "in a whirl"with the experience of shaking hands and talking to them....but wanted to share the experience with you.......I will remember this day for a long time This pic is of Her Majesty unveiling the placque. The Duchess of Northumberland, Alan Shearer....and His Royal Highness, Prince Philip (his hands were very cold )...when we shook hands

I'm so glad it all went well, Lou. I'm going to watch the BBC News in a few minutes, in the hope of seeing you. ;D What was Alan Shearer doing there? Does he weed the garden?

I'm so glad it all went well, Lou. I'm going to watch the BBC News in a few minutes, in the hope of seeing you. ;D What was Alan Shearer doing there? Does he weed the garden? Not on the news ...they concentrated more on the Carers. Alan Shearer was there in his capacity as a Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Northumberland, the Duchess being the Queen's Lord Lieutenant. Yes Sue...I did curtsey to The Queen, and Prince Philip....hope they didn't hear my knees creaking
