Just got back online today after about ten days with no internet access. Turned out the router needed replacing just as we moved the PC and tried to go wireless.  Anyway, after a lengthy process involving many phonecalls to Sky and even more to Parcelforce and the local delivery office the new router finally arrived this morning. I then managed to get this PC and OH's new laptop both running wireless, hallelujah! Its amazing how much you miss it when it has gone  What with that and the place upside down while decorating and rearranging furniture etc. it just means a trying time when looking for things  All in all it has been a rubbish period of time and the weather didn't help much either. Still, as they say, 'Alls well that ends well' ps found another grey hair too  |

You were missed Jim and I think you would look very distinguished with another grey hair. I am pleased that the computer is sorted now.

Still appear to have the occasional hiccup with the PC. I've typed out a couple of things here and on an astronomy forum I use and the posts have vanished into cyberspace.  Also the wireless connection isn't immune for cutting off just as you are using it. Easy enough to set up again but what a time waster. |

I have to have the wireless receiver almost touching the keyboard. If I don't all sorts of rubbish gets typed.
