We had wrens nesting in the summerhouse, they have fledged now and we thought the nest was being used by something else. We have seen a small bird darting in and out but had difficulty identifying it. Yesterday we got a good look at it and it is a spotted flycatcher. Today I took a photo of the nest to post and was pleasantly surprised to see an almost fully grown chick looking back at me. It is hiding to the right of the nest.

What I thought was a chick is one of the parents sitting on eggs. The other one is bringing it food. We stopped using the summerhouse because of the wrens, now it is going to be out of action because of the spotted flycatchers, I'm too soft on my wildlife
