Well actually their eggs have hatched daughter heard some tweeting going on from their nest. No pics unfortunately. the parents are flying in and out all the time so no doubt they will be kept even busier. This is the shed they are in flying in through the door which we have to leave open for them now.

Is the telescope for the parents to keep an eye on them, SP I'm envious that you have them, SP, you'll have to make sure you keep this shed available to them because with any luck the adults will use it again.

I hope you have covered up all that is under the nest, it is surprising how much can come out of such a small bird. ;D

You are so right, Wf. I think it's swallows (or swifts - not sure?) that nest in our log shed. This is their third year, and they've nested up near the roof before - but this year, the nest is on the light fitting, right in the middle of the shed. My small garden tols were in a basket underneath - I've had to wash them all, and the floor around is a complete mess. It's lovely to watch them wheeling about though.

I hope you have covered up all that is under the nest, it is surprising how much can come out of such a small bird. ;D You are not joking there WF I tried posting a lengthy piece about what has happened to them today but keep losing internet connection and thus the post so very fed up. to cut it short, one of the chicks was killed by one of the cats. One is flying around with the parents and two are on the floor under the nest. I had to partially block the door allowing access for the birds and they are still flying in and out though whether they are feeding the young on the floor I dont know. Shed is closed for the night so wont know what is happening until tomorrow now. Will keep you updated.
