We went to the GC today and stopped off in their pasta/pizza restaurant for a toasted sandwich......Unfortunately, as one of the waitresses was passing our table.....a bowl of hot pasta - with tomato sauce ....slid off her tray and crashed to the floor...spraying my coat with sauce The restaurant manager was with us in a trice....apologising and offering to have my coat sponged or taken to the cleaners......I opted for the cleaners.....we were told we did not need to pay for our lunch either. They will phone when the coat is back from the cleaners......fingers crossed the tomato comes out......that jacket is only 4/5 weeks old One of the waitresses quickly came and mopped up the mess....apologising again.....we told the girl on the cash desk and again....more apologies .......I certainly can't complain about the customer service here......just hope the coat cleans ok..and the tomato comes out....it is very light coloured......silvery

If the stain is still there after cleaning Lou, they'll have to buy you a new coat ;D

It would be worth checking and getting one put aside, Lou - just in case. What a horrible thing to happen - you didn't get any on your skin, I hope?

It had crossed my mind Geranium...but its just a small local shop and they might not be able to risk perhaps losing a sale if I didn't need it....no harm in asking though...I know the manageress reasonably well

Had a phone call from the GC saying the tomato stain had not come out of my coat....I wasn't surprised. Fortunately the shop had another one at their other branch....slightly different colour....will go get it tomorrow....and take the receipt to GC for reimbursement. Very impressed with the speed they handled this ;D

That was good customer service Lou, maybe they realise what a good customer you are! It's a shame the stain didn't come out & lucky that you've managed to locate a replacement, hope you like the slightly different colour, anything would be better than silvery with a tomato splash pattern though! ;D
